This policy explains what information Ko's Taekwondo ("we", "us") collects through LivingstonTKD.com, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and the choices you have. We've written it in plain language. If anything is unclear, just ask us. Our contact details are at the bottom.

The short version

We only ask for what we need to book your free class and stay in touch about it.
We never sell your information.
We never share your mobile number for anyone else's marketing.
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

What we collect

When you book a free class

Your first and last name, mobile number and email address.
The first name and age of each child or student you're booking for.
The class times you pick.

We don't ask for payment details on this website.

Automatically, when you use the website

How you found us. For example, a link in one of our ads, a search engine, or the QR code on one of our postcards. We read this from the link you clicked and from the website that sent you. We remember it in your browser's local storage, so it still counts if you come back a few days later. We don't use it to follow you around other websites.
Basic technical information. Our hosting provider records things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, to keep the website secure and running. We also note your approximate country with each booking.

How we use it

To book your free class and the bonus class, and to send you a confirmation, a calendar file and reminders before each class.
To get in touch about your visit, answer your questions and talk with you about membership.
To keep a record of bookings, including which of our ads or campaigns brought you to us, so we know what works.
To protect the website and our booking form from spam and misuse.

We don't use your information for anything unrelated to your classes at Ko's Taekwondo.

Text messages

When you give us your mobile number, we may send you text messages about your booking, such as confirmations, reminders and schedule changes. How often depends on your bookings. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts, or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your consent to receive text messages, and the phone number you gave us, will not be shared with anyone except the providers that deliver the messages for us.

Who helps us handle your information

A few trusted companies process information on our behalf. They may only use it to provide their service to us:

Cloudflare hosts this website, keeps it secure and forwards emails sent to our address.
Resend sends our confirmation and reminder emails.
Google stores our booking records (Google Sheets). It also provides the map and the fonts on this website.
Happy Oaks E-Commerce LLC (Livingston, NJ), our website partner, runs this website and the booking system for us and has access to booking records.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of our students, staff or others. We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Children's privacy

Ko's Taekwondo teaches children, but this website is meant for parents, guardians and adult students. Bookings should be made by a parent or guardian, or by an adult booking for themselves. We collect a child's first name and age only from their parent or guardian, so we can place the child in the right class. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we'll delete it.

We only show photos of students on this website with their parents' permission. If you'd like a photo of your child removed, contact us and we'll take it down.

Cookies and similar technologies

This website doesn't use advertising cookies. It stores how you found us in your browser's local storage, as described above. The map on our website and our fonts are loaded from Google, which may receive your IP address and may set its own cookies according to Google's Privacy Policy.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them to follow up on your visit and to keep accurate business records. For families who don't become members, that's up to 3 years after your last contact with us. After that we delete them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.

Keeping it safe

The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to booking records is limited to the people who need it, and we use reputable providers. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable care to protect your information.

Your choices

See, correct or delete your information: email us and we'll take care of it, usually within 30 days.
Stop texts: reply STOP to any text from us.
Stop emails: reply to any of our emails and ask us to stop. Booking confirmations and reminders only go out when you book a class.

Depending on where you live, including New Jersey, you may have additional privacy rights under state law. We'll honor those rights where they apply.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
